Listen to our Podcast & Guided Meditation:

If you are facing a situation in life that is causing worries or anxiety, try below practice:

  1. REFLECT: What comes to mind that you that you feel you is causing you anxiety and you feel overwhelmed?
  2. RESPOND: Settle down, Breathe and Relax. Let go of any thoughts of past that come to mind, start with simply observing the breath. Now think of a famous or successful person. Go deeper and look at their journey and path they took. It is likely they struggled, they worked hard one step at a time.
  3. INTEGRATE: Any time in future you find yourself anxious and overwhelmed, take time to Pause and remember this quote and how you can also take one step at a time and go through the changes towards success.

We delight in the beauty of butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.

My view on this quote: Hi everyone! I am Ajooni S.
Today we are going to be talking about Maya Angelou’s quote, “We delight in the beauty of butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”

The meaning of the quote to me is when we see something like a butterfly or a human they aren’t always born the way they look. They might be born with or without any little details like freckles or vitiligo. Aiesha Robinson who now is a motivational speaker. She has been struggling with vitiligo.

Consider Mindfulness meditation as a way to help calm down and reflect on the message.
