What a remarkable motivating and inspiring quote!. I was instantly energized when I first read the short form “You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life.”
We often stop and take the easy way out, stay in our comfort zone. When facing with choices or at crossroads of whether to go for something more, what a fine reminder.
We know deeply that we are capable of so much more.
We need to trust ourselves and that a power bigger than ourselves is inspiring us to do more. Trust that as in Rumi’s quote “As you start to walk on the way, The way appears”. If we can find the courage and start there will be many that will come along to help us, show us the way and be part of our journey. Doors are there, we just need to make the decision and go for it.
We have the wings so choice is ours.
Do we prefer to not use them?
Below video on Ted, talks about How to make stress your friend! How to change our thinking on how we view stress it can have affect on our life expectancy. Also if related to the theme here on choosing or making decision between stressful job and non stressful:
“Chasing meaning is better for your health than avoiding discomfort
Go after what creates meaning in your life and trust yourself to handle the stress that follows”
Here is a full version of this quote that I found on Virtuesofilife
