Today, we have a quote from Dalai Lama. It’s talking about Happiness.
If you take the right actions and make the right decisions then it can be within us.
Can we buy happiness? The answer is no. Objects may give us temporary happiness, but it will not last forever. To create long-lasting happiness, we can spend quality time with our loved ones.
*Learn about a practice like Mindfulness meditation that can have many benefits like improved focus and help us to be happy.
A lot of people are not happy at times because they don’t have the latest computer, the newest console, or the newest phone, etc. But what they don’t realize, is that those are just objects! Although yes, it may be convenient, or nice to have, the happiness from that will not last very long.
I have a personal recent example. Recently my dad and I started thinking of building a PC. But obviously, customizing a good gaming PC is not cheap! I want to be able to stream, and play my games at the same time. Which is why I want to get a computer with i7 chip. But my cousin who is helping us build it has an i5 chip which he is not using. He offered to give it to me, which is awesome!
I am not going to lie, I am grateful for being able to get a computer, but I really wanted to get all the best one. Now after understanding this quote, I am realizing that I don’t need all of the best things at first! I should be happy and grateful for what I have or can get, and then after some time start to save for a new one.
All that I would like everyone reading this is to spend some time feeling to pause and be content with you have. That is happiness!
If we all take better options when we can, we will feel happier with the outcomes. Whether it’s a sandwich, or a job even. Most times the better options will give us a more rewarding feeling. Good Luck!
