We all seek and desire happiness. Everything we do is to be happy. What makes us happy, what we choose to become happy varies based on our interests, upbringing. For some its food, for some travel, for others its shopping or gadgets. Everything if we look at we do is so we can be fulfilled and happy.

While we easily choose what is for us to be happy, we often don’t relate or approve to other people choices on how they want to be happy.

“People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.”

Dalai Lama

Hey everyone! This post’s quote is from the Dalai Lama and it is talking about judgement. You can read more of Dalai Lama Quotes.

One example of judgement could be the LGBTQ+ community. They are often not accepted and judged a lot in situations that they shouldn’t have to be in.

The that we can incorporate this quote would be in the sense that if you are straight, gay people would have a different sense of love than you do, and we need to normalize that! Being straight has been normalized and so should any other type of love.

Another example could be skin color. Many people are judged by the color of their skin in modern times as well as in the past. This is an example of something that should not be normalized as it does not make sense and it does not make anything equal for those who are affected by it.

My point is, we all need to learn to normalize new changes in society. Whether it be the LGBTQ+ community, to eliminating racism, or skin color. We need to learn to normalize their lives just as they normalize ours.

This quote “All Sikhs are commanded to take the Granth as Guru” is by the last living Guru for the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This was proclaimed by Guru ji when he felt that his call from Heaven had come and it was time for him to pass the successorship (gur gadi).
