It is very rare or almost impossible that an event can be negative from all points of view

When something goes wrong we mostly see it as Negative. Most of us fall for this auto pilot behavior at least at that time. Some of us are able to look at the bright side and say what we can do. Then often if we look back, we can also see that something Positive came out of an event that at that time seemed only negative.

Apply the below technique as a way to change your mindset and program your mind to always know deeply that you have a Positive outlook!

  1. REFLECT:  on a past time you had challenges & what positive came out of it.
  2. RESPOND: What will you do next time if you find yourself in tough circumstances, when things are challenging?
  3. INTEGRATE: Any time in future, if things worries you or you are anxious, remember this affirmation & how you can look for the bright side or positive even when something negative event happens.

Combine reading and applying Reflect and Respond practice with an Affirmation: I find positive even in negative…

It is very rare or almost impossible that an event can be negative from all points of view.

14th Dalai Lama

About the Author of Quote: 14th Dalai Lama
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, describes himself as a simple Buddhist monk. He is the spiritual leader of Tibet. He was born on 6 July 1935 in northeastern Tibet. At the age of two, the child, then named Lhamo Dhondup, was recognized as the reincarnation of the previous 13th Dalai Lama, Thubten Gyatso.

The Dalai Lamas are believed to be manifestations of Avalokiteshvara or Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion and the patron saint of Tibet. Bodhisattvas are realized beings inspired by a wish to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings, who have vowed to be reborn in the world to help humanity.

Post Author: Gurbani Singh. I am a teenager and often find myself searching for positive quotes for girls.  I have made it a goal to post Positive and Inspiring quotes. I hope that these are as encouraging to you as they are for me to learn from and apply to our daily lives. Here is a link to my posts: encouraging quotes for teens

My view on this quote: Hi everyone! Once again, we have another quote by the 14th Dalai Lama. For those who don’t know already, I can relate and connect more with his quotes for some reason. I have tried to change it up here and there but those quotes don’t really have as much meaning to me as his quotes do.

Today’s quote is about having a positive attitude. For example, a lot of Buddhists have explained that in order to keep peace in your mind, you should address your situation and see what positives can be come out of the event. The 14th Dalai Lama encourages this as well.

Another thing that Dalai Lama encourages us is about comparing the situation to other events. Let’s say you lost something, maybe compare it to losing your job and not being able to support yourself. It’s not as bad as that right? Losing something also now gives you the opportunity to buy same or perhaps even new better product.

All I would ask of you is to try to calm yourself when you face tough situation. Find something on the bright side. Just like some people say there is a bad news and then there is good news. Find the opportunity that the challenge brings with it.
