Choose to be optimistic, it feels better.Dalai Lama
Today we have a quote on topic of being Optimistic by the Dalai Lama. I feel as though when I do quotes on positivity, or optimistic theme, I feel more connected. Also, when I do a quote by the Dalai Lama my responses are much more natural and I find easier to write. So expect a lot of these posts in the future!
If you didn’t already know, pessimism is basically being negative, having negative response to things, etc. Optimism is having a positive response, or sending out positive vibes with everything you do. A common phrase is, “seeing the glass of water half empty” as pessimistic, versus “seeing the glass as half full” as optimistic.
A example that I experienced was my grandma/uncle’s backyard. Recently they got a tree and a bunch of plants and bushes cut out of their property. They sent our family a photo and everyone was a little sad because it looked “weird.” But without even realizing, I immediately responded with “Eh, I mean it does look way bigger.” and my mom was super happy that these positive posts have affected me in a good way!
Now, if I had been pessimistic in that situation like others were, no one may have realize about the opposite brighter side and everyone would just think negatively about losing the tree.
This is why we should all be optimistic!
Being optimistic isn’t hard. That is for sure. It is actually harder to come up with negative things to say about situations. All we need to do is “see the bright side in things.” Its that easy! All that I ask you to do is to simply pause before you respond to any situation you find yourself in, and see how you can make any negative reactions positive.
If they are all positive, awesome! You can add to it as well! Our optimistic community for the win!
