Silence is sometimes the best answer

Sometimes we get into arguments that are not meaningful, and they aren’t a good use of our time. Perhaps when someone is being difficult, irrational or foolish, Dalai Lama tells us to acknowledge their feelings but don’t respond. Sometimes people need to “vent” or just let all their feelings almost just blow out of them to make them calm again.

“Silence is sometimes the best answer”

Dalai Lama

Hi everyone! This post’s quote is once again from the Dalai Lama. In case you haven’t learned by know, the 14th Dalai Lama, also known as the current Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of the land named Tibet. His main goal is to teach others and spread awareness about motivating yourself to always do the right thing, as well as spread positivity to everyone who will accept it.

Maybe you get into a fight with your spouse about something very trivial. Maybe they don’t really have a problem with the topic that is being discussed, but instead are using it as a way to let their feelings about something else. Now you should not just ignore it. That would be rude. You should acknowledge it, make sure you understand how they are feeling, but also don’t waste your time trying to argue over them.

One time, i still have no idea where, I heard someone say that if you get into an argument, think about it, evaluate the problem, and ask yourself. Will this argument benefit me or relate to me in 3 years? If this argument’s result won’t benefit you in the future, there is no point in spending your time trying to “win” the argument.

Try skipping being rational with someone who is irrational Or walk away cool off to give things time to settle. Take a PAUSE. MEDITATION can help us practice how to stop from reacting and work more to choose and respond.

Remember, your time and energy is important. Choose wisely how you spend it.
