“If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk,
if you can’t walk, then crawl,
but by all means keep moving.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

As you may know, today, June 2nd, 2020 is BlackOut Tuesday. This quote applies to our current reality because of all the protests currently happening. The protests are a result of the African-Americans that have died, and after the death of George Floyd, that was the turning point. Now in case you don’t know, many Americans are coming together to protest against all of the racism that our country and world has, and the BlackOut Tuesday is a part of it as well.

What I think that MLK means by this quote, is that although what has happened recently has hurt many people.

We must keep moving and fighting for equality and freedom.

Recently in school our teachers and counselors are trying to promote as much as possible, and are trying to integrate it into our lives. I for one, am all for #blacklivesmatter, and we should all fight to give freedom to all.
